• Atma or soul is subtle, all-pervading. It is the Innermost self of all. It cannot be hurt by anyone.
It is birthless, deathless, changeless. When the body is killed, it is not killed.
Therefore grieve not, lament not, regret not. Be always cheerful.
Fire cannot burn it, swords cannot cut it, nothing can destroy it.
The perishable body is mean to pass away. But the real self never dies. Death of body is certain and there is no point to cry for something that is bound to happen. But the real self never dies.
• There is only one reality or truth, the soul. All appearances are unreal. They
are the effects of Maya, the illusory power of God.Behold the one immortal atman in all names and forms. This alone is correct perception.
Ignorance is the cause for pain and sorrow. Win over it and all miseries will come to an end.
• I-ness and mine-ness, selfish motives and enjoyership bind on with the body and illusionary world. One must destroy these notions and identify oneself as Soul which is non-doer, non-enjoyer. This leads to Immortal
and eternal bliss.
•
You, the soul is ever free. You are already free. Moksha or salvation
is not a thing to be attained. But it is a thing to be realised.
As long as you identify yourself as body you are bound. When you
will identify yourself as the independent seer (the witness),
you are free.
